Help with Hexing Prepaid Meter

I have a Hexing HXE110P-P Single Phase Residential meter used in a split prepayment metering system with an CIU EV-KP which is a customer interface unit with keypad for credit charging.

Recently the  CIU which communicates with metering unit by MBUS or PLC for energy consumption and credit balance monitoring, credit limitation alarming and credit charging, does not connect anymore.

This unit is from City Power Johannesburg.

I have removed the batteries to reset the unit as well, continue the show the "failed" message on the screen, when using the codes 802 to set the date and 803 to set the time or entering the 20 digit voucher.

Please provide a solution...
